This policy explains what Leaf & Blade Outdoor Living does with information about you: what we collect when you contact us, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. It is short because we collect very little.
1. Who we are
Leaf & Blade Outdoor Living is a landscape construction business working across the Denver metro and Colorado's front range. If you have a question about this policy or about information we hold, the contact details are at the end.
2. What we collect
Only what you send us. We do not buy information about you and we do not track you around the internet.
What you give us
- Your name, email address and phone number, when you fill in the enquiry form or email or ring us.
- The zip code of the property you are asking about, so we know whether it is in the area we serve.
- What kind of work you are asking about, and anything you write in the message box.
What your browser gives us automatically
Our hosting provider records ordinary server information for every visitor, including an IP address, the pages requested and the browser used. This is kept briefly and used to keep the site running and secure.
3. Cookies and what we store on your device
We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
The site stores two small pieces of information in your browser, both of which are cleared when you close the tab and neither of which ever reaches us:
- A note that you have seen the opening animation, so you are not shown it again on every page.
- Where you had scrolled to on a page, so that pressing back returns you to it rather than to the top.
4. What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry, quoting for work, and carrying out that work.
- Keeping records of jobs we have quoted for or completed.
- Meeting our legal and tax obligations.
We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to, and we will never sell your information to anybody.
5. Who else sees it
Only the companies that run parts of this business for us, and only what they need:
- Our website host, which serves this site.
- Our content system, which stores the photographs and words on this site.
- Our email provider, which carries enquiries to us.
- Suppliers, subcontractors or professional advisers, where they need it to do work you have asked for.
We may also share information where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for two years and then deleted. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for seven years, which is what our tax and insurance obligations require.
7. Your rights
Colorado law gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so the last of those is already true of us. To exercise any of the others, contact us using the details below and we will respond within forty-five days.
You will not be treated differently for asking.
8. Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.
9. Changes
If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date at the top. Substantial changes will be pointed out on this page.
